Cookie Run OvenSmash is the next big PC title in the Cookie Run: Kingdom universe series. The release date for Cookie Run OvenSmash is still dicey so here is everything we know so far.
While rumors that the upcoming title to the Cookie Run: Kingdom universe would be fully revealed at TwitchCondid not happen, the developers showed a sneak peek of the game and unveiled the official website for their upcoming PC title Cookie Run OvenSmash.
This is going to be Devsister’s first PC game and it will be available on Steam. Cookie Run fans have many questions, and this article covers everything we know about the upcoming game.
Cookie Run OvenSmash release date?
One of the most anticipated questions from Cookie Run: Kingdom fans is, given that CRK is a mobile game, will the developers be allowing cross-play between the mobile and PC versions of OvenSmash?
According to the developer’s presentation at last year’s DevPlay, cross-play will be enabled for all of its PC titles, with the caveat that mobile versions of other games could launch after their PC counterparts. They also had a similar answer to this question at TwitchCon.

The brand-new OvenSmash website lists four different game modes, which are explained in detail below:
- Domination: Defeat the enemy Cookies and “dominate” the selected area in order to gain Star Jelly Points. The team with the most points at the end of the match wins.
- Water Star: 5v5 Gameplay: Defeat Enemy Cookies within the time limit to gain Star Jellies. Survival is key here as getting knocked down will result in all Star Jellies being revoked.
- Battle Royale: Conventional BR gameplay, with the map shrinking with time and the last surviving team/player being the winner. Two maps will be available at release, Tiramisu Cake Hill and Strawberry Milk Sea.
- Treasure Hunting: 10v10 Scavenger Hunt. Go through the massive map to find the treasures within the time frame, while battling monsters and completing quests.

Since Devsisters revealed its crop of upcoming games, fans of the game have been comparing OvenSmash to the popular Nintendo Switch game Super Smash Bros.
While the games share certain similarities, it’s too early to tell if this is a “sweet Smash Bros spin-off”, as many on Reddit claim.
In addition, 3D models of various cookies are also available on the OvenSmash website, with more coming soon.

While there is no definitive release date yet, the developers have confirmed that the game will be released before March 2023, with various reports pointing to a Christmas 2022 or early January 2023 release.
