Destiny 2 has faced a lot of bugs since its launch and one of those error codes is Weasel and here is how you can fix the Destiny 2 Weasel error and why is it happening with your account.
According to Bungie’s help page, this new Destiny 2 error code “Weasel” appears when any player tries to log into their account from different platforms while cross-save is enabled.
It was also detected after a player was banned during an activity.
While most of these errors are due to network connection issues, some are related to account lockouts and others.
Account suspension error codes cannot be resolved unless Bungie intervenes.
However, some of the others can be fixed in a few steps.
How to fix the Destiny 2 error code – Weasel?
When players are banned, they will be notified the next time they try to log into Destiny 2, then the error code appears Weasel Notification.
Specific steps to fix this error are given below.
- Players can try logging out from all devices that their account is logged on and then login back on just one device.
- Restarting their current device might also work as a solution to the problem at hand.
- Finally, if the methods mentioned above fail, restart network devices like routers and modems to see if that solves the issue.
All the above-mentioned solutions only work until there is a significant outage.
If none of these fixes works for you then you should report the issue to the forum here.
Until a few hours ago, the servers were down due to a rare server-side issue. Bungie quickly recognized the problem and implemented a fix as well.
The game is accessible at the time of writing this article.
Destiny 2 has been encountering some issues lately.
A few days ago, many players were temporarily banned for leaving Control matches in the Crucible.
While leave-match bans are common in Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris, which happen to be the game’s premium PvP activity, such treatment of control matches did not go down well with the community.
Since then, the Destiny 2 ban wave has spread to many activities, with many players being banned for no reason whatsoever.
The creator of the popular website D2Gunsmith was also accidentally kicked from the game.
Although his ban was lifted, he decided to stay away from the game, at least for now.
He went on to say that he would not keep working on the site. D2Gunsmith has been an essential tool for the Destiny 2 community, and his stalling has been cited as a significant loss to the entire community.
With Lightfall a few months away, Bungie is having a lot of problems with the game.
They are constantly working on the game. With that in mind, these issues are understandable.
