  1. Click on the Windows Start Menu 
  2. Search “Add or Remove Programs” 
  3. Open the first result.
  4. In the new menu, search for “Riot Vanguard.”
  5. Click on the Riot Vanguard icon and click “Uninstall.” 
  6. Confirm the uninstallation. 

Riot Vanguard will be automatically reinstalled when you next launch Valorant after updating your graphics card drivers.

Method 3: Update Your Graphics Drivers

If you have an NVIDIA graphics card then you need to update your graphics card via the NVIDIA Control Panel.

  1. Right-click on the Windows desktop and select NVIDIA Control Panel. Navigate to the Help menu and select Updates.

  6. Enable and disable automatic game and program profiles, including SLI. To enable, check the Game and Program Profiles checkbox.

Update your graphics card via NVIDIA GeForce Experience (Alternate method)

  1. Search for NVIDIA GeForce Experience in the Start menu.
  2. Click on the first result.
  3. Click on Drivers.
  4. Click on Check for Updates or Update.
  5. Wait for the download to complete and click on Install.
  6. Click on Next until the installation is complete.

  1. Visit the AMD Driver and Support page and see section Auto-Detect and Install Updates for Radeon™ Graphics and Ryzen™ Chipset Drivers for Windows®.
  2. Click the DOWNLOAD NOW button to begin downloading the AMD Driver Auto-detect tool.
  3. Once the download is complete, run the file from the save location.
  4. When prompted, click Install to begin the setup process.
